The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bouzigues's goalkeeper Franck Delarche, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Libertad Sarmiento's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Franck Delarche was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. Libertad Sarmiento blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Franck Delarche having to make a save. Franck Delarche made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Libertad Sarmiento in the 14th minute of play. When Matthieu Ly fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bouzigues's protests and gave Matthieu Ly a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Bouzigues's Matthieu Ly got a free kick in the 15th minute. After some careless play in the Bouzigues defense, Libertad Sarmiento kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Franck Delarche. The Bouzigues fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Franck Delarche should have stopped the shot. Franck Delarche didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Libertad Sarmiento went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Bouzigues's John-Paul Millard got a free kick in the 24th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Bouzigues's zone, Libertad Sarmiento stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Franck Delarche came out of the goal and Libertad Sarmiento tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 29 minutes into the game, Libertad Sarmiento cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Franck Delarche was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 32nd minute, John-Paul Millard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 36 minutes into the match, Libertad Sarmiento notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of Bouzigues's Franck Delarche. Franck Delarche was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Libertad Sarmiento took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Franck Delarche. Franck Delarche dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-7. After 43 minutes of play, Real Sociedad's Libertad Sarmiento made it 0-8 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Franck Delarche was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Libertad Sarmiento in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Franck Delarche saved Bouzigues from getting behind. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-8 lead.

In the 52ndth minute of the game Libertad Sarmiento who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bouzigues's Franck Delarche was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Franck Delarche didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Real Sociedad's Libertad Sarmiento shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-9 in the ordered_time% minute. Franck Delarche dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-13. In the 80th minute, Gaël Janssens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Franck Delarche made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Libertad Sarmiento in the 90th minute of play. Franck Delarche came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Real Sociedad's Libertad Sarmiento. But to his dismay, Libertad Sarmiento quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-15. When the match was over Real Sociedad could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Bouzigues throughout the match.
