Saulzet's Charles-Emmanuel Guède proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Saulzet from getting a goal against them. Through an outstanding action, after 10 minutes, Charles-Emmanuel Guède successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When Constantin Schwartz came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Saulzet fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Constantin Schwartz couldn't finish the play. In the 14th minute, Kylian Christiaens reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Charles-Emmanuel Guède. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 18th match minute, Chuzelles was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kylian Christiaens to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Chuzelles's Bernard Brun got a free kick in the 19th minute. Mohamed Kadri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Constantin Schwartz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 22 minutes into the game, Constantin Schwartz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Mohamed Kadri was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 28th minute, Allan Martino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 29 minutes into the match, Constantin Schwartz notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Chuzelles's Mohamed Kadri. Mohamed Kadri was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 33 minutes, Fabrice Yung managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chuzelles's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabrice Yung was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mohamed Kadri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brian Morvant, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. After a rather tough play, Chuzelles's Ahmid Aury got a free kick in the 37th minute. In the 38th minute, Ahmid Aury hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Chuzelles's Kylian Christiaens pulled a muscle in his leg after 44 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Geoffrey Plouzennec fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Saulzet's protests and gave Geoffrey Plouzennec a yellow card for diving instead. In the 44th minute, one of Saulzet:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Saulzet. Disappointed in the 2-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fabrice Yung to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute of the match, Brian Morvant tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Mohamed Kadri saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line.
