Benoît Frank recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aymerick Barlier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 14th minute, Alfred Gachon ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nelson Murzeau was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Nelson Murzeau showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfred Gachon in the 18th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the game, Julien Galliano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wolfisheim's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Stade Rennais FC the free kick. Julien Galliano kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Vivien Desmonts blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nelson Murzeau having to make a save. Nelson Murzeau showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hamid Badier, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. In the 24th minute, Romain Clapier ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nelson Murzeau was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 26 minutes into the match, Alfred Gachon notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Wolfisheim's Nelson Murzeau. Nelson Murzeau was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ghislain Lebastard recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Joris Lahaye didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aymerick Barlier went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Joris Lahaye made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benoît Frank in the 36th minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, Stade Rennais FC's goalkeeper Joris Lahaye had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benoît Frank. Joris Lahaye showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Theo Ballu in the 39th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Stade Rennais FC's zone, Aymerick Barlier stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joris Lahaye came out of the goal and Aymerick Barlier tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 43 minutes into the game, when Sacha Delobel put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Wolfisheim fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 43rd minute. Penalty! In the 45th minute there was a penalty for Stade Rennais FC. Vivien Desmonts stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Nelson Murzeau. 1-4. Disappointed in the 1-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Theo Ballu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 63rd minute of the match Wolfisheim got a corner. Stade Rennais FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ghislain Lebastard ran over to the corner to take the kick. Aymerick Barlier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Joris Lahaye tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Stade Rennais FC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Boris Botte hit a great ball. Vivien Desmonts charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vivien Desmonts the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 83rd match minute, Stade Rennais FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vivien Desmonts to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 86 minutes, Hamid Badier managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stade Rennais FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hamid Badier was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Wolfisheim's defense didn't have a chance, in the 92nd minute, when Hamid Badier scored to the left of an out of position Nelson Murzeau, making the score, 1-6. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Stade Rennais FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
