Edmond Esnault tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 14 minutes into the game, Calvin Avice was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC ROWEX's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Clichy the free kick. A collision led to FC ROWEX getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Calvin Avice hit a great ball. Hocine Bellot hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Edmond Esnault made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hippolyte Risse in the 29th minute of play. Noël Forte received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Barnabé Coquillat came out and tried to block the shot, but Noël Forte slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 30th minute. 35 minutes into the match, Clichy's goal looked a bit too open when Hippolyte Risse came free, but Edmond Esnault reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Barnabé Coquillat took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from John-Paul Gillon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to FC ROWEX getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Kévin Dubosq hit a great ball. Hakim Schell kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. After having played for 39 minutes, Daryl Belleville managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Clichy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daryl Belleville was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Barnabé Coquillat showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from John-Paul Gillon in the 44th minute of the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for John-Paul Gillon to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pierre-Loup Duperron got free with Edmond Esnault in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 65th minute, Hippolyte Risse made a precise shot to the right of Edmond Esnault. Clichy's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. The Clichy fans cheered their team off the field, for while FC ROWEX had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
