Terry Ferreira came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Stade Rennais FC's Hamid Badier. But to his dismay, Hamid Badier quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. In the 23rd match minute, Stade Rennais FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antony Sophie to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pierre-Emmanuel Bruyas in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joris Lahaye prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 25th minute, Romain Clapier made a precise shot to the right of Terry Ferreira. Olympique de Mornas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. 28 minutes into the match, Stade Rennais FC's Hamid Badier sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Terry Ferreira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 45th minute of the match Basile Hivert shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Joris Lahaye showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 47th minute, Hamid Badier got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-7 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Pierre-Emmanuel Bruyas made the kick off in the second half. Romain Clapier spun around in front of the goal 56 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Olympique de Mornas's goal. 62 minutes into the game, Stade Rennais FC's Hamid Badier nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Terry Ferreira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-8. Terry Ferreira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Romain Clapier in the 65th minute. Terry Ferreira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hamid Badier in the 72nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Stade Rennais FC's Hamid Badier got a free kick in the 76th minute. In the 77th minute, Vivien Desmonts hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Olympique de Mornas's Basile Hivert got a free kick in the 84th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Alfred Gachon kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Terry Ferreira. That made the score 0-11 in the 88 minute of play. When Hamid Badier came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Stade Rennais FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hamid Badier couldn't finish the play. If Hamid Badier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luka Rioult in the 95th minute of play forced Olympique de Mornas's goalkeeper Terry Ferreira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
