Benoît Pujo succeeded in the game's 6th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. 11 minutes in the game, Pierre Fève fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Joachim Buret having to interfere. If Carlos Mendy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pierre Fève in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joachim Buret prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Benoît Pujo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlos Mendy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sacha Loaëc fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paul Poncin having to interfere. After 46 minutes, Amaury Peter mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Battenheim and the Gajac players grew even worse after the yellow card. Joachim Buret made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pierre Fève in the 48th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pierre Fève to strike the kick off in the second half. Benoît Pujo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 55 minutes into the match, Battenheim's goal looked a bit too open when Pierre Fève came free, but Joachim Buret reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 56th minute, Daniel Drame hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Carlos Mendy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 58 minutes, Carlos Mendy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gajac's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlos Mendy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 60 played minutes Battenheim got a freekick which was hit by Benoît Pujo. Carlos Mendy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Joachim Buret tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Battenheim's Sammy Danion got a free kick in the 67th minute. 68 minutes into the match, Gajac's Flavian Bergerot broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The supporters of Gajac booed when Battenheim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sammy Danion didn't get a good kick on the ball. Flavian Bergerot took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 71st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Joachim Buret. Battenheim's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Flavian Bergerot hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Benoît Pujo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Paul Poncin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 78 minutes, Pierre Fève managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Mendy in the 81st minute of play forced Battenheim's goalkeeper Joachim Buret to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Flavian Bergerot kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Battenheim's Joachim Buret played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Mendy in the 88th minute of play. Alex Bleuze kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Gajac's Paul Poncin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Gajac from getting a goal against them. Sacha Loaëc could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Paul Poncin made a huge save. Gajac's Paul Poncin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benoît Pujo in the 96th minute of play. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
