Dorian Gergaud was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 11th minute of the match Florentin Durand shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dorian Gergaud showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Darren Carles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dorian Gergaud having to interfere. Ilan Allio's late challenge caught a FC 93's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ilan Allio helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to F.C. Challans getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Ilan Allio hit a great ball. In the 39th minute Bakary Peyret shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dorian Gergaud saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 43 minutes, Bertrand Demol managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. F.C. Challans's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bertrand Demol was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, FC 93's Pierrick Bac got a free kick in the 44th minute. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bertrand Demol to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Darren Carles during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Darren Carles kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. F.C. Challans's Bertrand Demol got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Bertrand Demol came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the F.C. Challans fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bertrand Demol couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bakary Peyret in the 65th minute of play forced F.C. Challans's goalkeeper Dorian Gergaud to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 69 minutes, Bakary Peyret took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Dorian Gergaud to make any attempt to save it. In the 72nd minute, Bakary Peyret hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bakary Peyret struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Dorian Gergaud didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC 93. Dorian Gergaud didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bakary Peyret went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. F.C. Challans's Dorian Gergaud proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save F.C. Challans from getting a goal against them.
