Lokomotiv Lelle's Honoré Descarpentries played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robert Ferrière in the 7th minute of play. After having played for 8 minutes, César Delmas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lokomotiv Lelle's supporters crossed their fingers, but César Delmas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to US Montélimar getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Johan Dufrene hit a great ball. The supporters of US Montélimar booed when Lokomotiv Lelle was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabrice Weigel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Robert Ferrière fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Honoré Descarpentries having to interfere. Noé Derville recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robert Ferrière in the 22nd minute of play forced Lokomotiv Lelle's goalkeeper Honoré Descarpentries to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lokomotiv Lelle's Honoré Descarpentries played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robert Ferrière in the 26th minute of play. Noé Derville sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Honoré Descarpentries made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robert Ferrière in the 32nd minute of play. If Robert Ferrière had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Robert Ferrière might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Honoré Descarpentries. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Robert Ferrière ran back to his position shaking his head. When US Montélimar's Robert Ferrière in the 48th minute got a chance for a shot 48th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lokomotiv Lelle's goalie prevented a goal.

With a little luck, US Montélimar's Daryl Jonquet got control of the ball when César Delmas tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Robert Ferrière had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
