In the 7th minute, Bertrand Demol got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Bertrand Demol's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Honoré Descarpentries was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. Salim Senegas hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Lokomotiv Lelle's zone, Bertrand Demol stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Honoré Descarpentries came out of the goal and Bertrand Demol tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, F.C. Challans's Dorian Gergaud got control of the ball when César Delmas tried to sneak it across the goal line. César Delmas in the 32ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Dorian Gergaud, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 36 minutes into the game, F.C. Challans's Samir Le Roux nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Honoré Descarpentries made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 40th minute Samir Le Roux shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Honoré Descarpentries saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Lokomotiv Lelle's zone, Bertrand Demol stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Honoré Descarpentries came out of the goal and Bertrand Demol tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Lokomotiv Lelle defense, Bertrand Demol kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Honoré Descarpentries. The Lokomotiv Lelle fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Honoré Descarpentries should have stopped the shot. After the first half F.C. Challans were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bertrand Demol to strike the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes, Samir Le Roux made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Lokomotiv Lelle's Honoré Descarpentries tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Dorian Gergaud showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from César Delmas in the 55th minute of the match. Ilan Allio hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. In the 59th minute, Steven Sabatie sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and F.C. Challans's Dorian Gergaud didn't even have to move. When the match had gone on for 63 minutes, Bertrand Demol took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Honoré Descarpentries to make any attempt to save it. The referee gave Lokomotiv Lelle a penalty, 69 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Steven Sabatie, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of F.C. Challans's Dorian Gergaud. 1-4. If César Delmas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 75 played minutes F.C. Challans got a freekick which was hit by Côme Mourlon. Dorian Gergaud made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bixente Fréchet in the 77th minute of play. 79 minutes into the match, F.C. Challans's goal looked a bit too open when Jolan Le Du came free, but Dorian Gergaud reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 81 minutes, Samir Le Roux managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. F.C. Challans's supporters crossed their fingers, but Samir Le Roux was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Samir Le Roux fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Honoré Descarpentries having to interfere. 84 minutes into the match, F.C. Challans's Jordy Verdy sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Honoré Descarpentries narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 86th minute of the match Steven Sabatie sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dorian Gergaud skillfully saved the ball. After some careless play in the Lokomotiv Lelle defense, Samir Le Roux kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Honoré Descarpentries. The Lokomotiv Lelle fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Honoré Descarpentries should have stopped the shot. César Delmas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Lokomotiv Lelle's Fabrice Weigel got a free kick in the 98th minute. F.C. Challans's Jean-Pascal Baguet was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Honoré Descarpentries in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. F.C. Challans's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
