Jérémie Louison made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robert Ferrière in the 33rd minute of play. Noé Derville took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jérémie Louison. Jérémie Louison dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. Daryl Jonquet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denis Rancon in the 37th minute of play. Bois-Guillaume's Norbert Rossetti got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Marius Reinert fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored US Montélimar's protests and gave Marius Reinert a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to US Montélimar getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Marius Reinert hit a great ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 2-3.

Jérémie Louison took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robert Ferrière, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 53 minutes into the match, US Montélimar's goal looked a bit too open when Norbert Rossetti came free, but Daryl Jonquet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. US Montélimar had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
