The audience thought a goal was coming when Ruben Croguennec got free with Dorian Gergaud in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 9 minutes into the game, Jouy's Charlie Renou nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dorian Gergaud made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Charlie Renou struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Dorian Gergaud didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jouy. In the 21st minute, Bertrand Demol got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 22nd match minute, Jouy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tanguy Callet to maneuver through the defense. Clovis Queguiner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Côme Mourlon in the 25th minute of play. Challans's Jean-Pascal Baguet broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arnold Branchereau couldn't finish the play. In the 57th match minute, F.C. Challans was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jean-Pascal Baguet to maneuver through the defense. Dorian Gergaud showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Charlie Renou in the 64th minute of the match. After 65 minutes F.C. Challans's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Charlie Renou who took care of the corner kick. Clovis Queguiner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bertrand Demol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Clovis Queguiner showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 85th minute, Charlie Renou left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Jouy fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Clovis Queguiner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Samir Le Roux, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the F.C. Challans players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Jouy.
