Johan Dufrene took the ball and in the 5 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Josselin Biteau. Josselin Biteau dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. With an all-out effort, US Montélimar's Josselin Biteau threw himself towards the right post 8 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Noël Bessou, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Dorian Andries recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 16th minute, Mounir Bérenger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of US Montélimar booed when Grossereix was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Taddei didn't get a good kick on the ball. Johan Dufrene's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Josselin Biteau read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dorian Andries during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Dorian Andries hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. 21 minutes into the match, Grossereix's goalkeeper Josselin Biteau had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Noël Bessou. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robert Ferrière in the 22nd minute of play forced Grossereix's goalkeeper Josselin Biteau to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Grossereix's Dorian Andries got a free kick in the 29th minute. If Eddy Fleury had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38th minute, Jean-François Decherf hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 42 minutes into the match, US Montélimar's Robert Ferrière sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Josselin Biteau narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Josselin Biteau showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Noël Bessou in the 44th minute of the match. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Noé Derville made a kick off. In the 57th minute Robert Ferrière shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Josselin Biteau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wilfried Landre hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Flavien Bouchereau got free with Daryl Jonquet in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Eddy Fleury fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daryl Jonquet having to interfere. 75 minutes into the game, José Taddei was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Grossereix's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave US Montélimar the free kick. Noé Derville took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Josselin Biteau. Josselin Biteau dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Wilfried Landre kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. US Montélimar's Johan Dufrene got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eddy Fleury received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Daryl Jonquet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Flavien Bouchereau might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Daryl Jonquet. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Flavien Bouchereau ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 94 minutes, Eddy Fleury managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grossereix's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eddy Fleury was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. US Montélimar walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
