The referee ignored Montagne's protests and gave William Magnin a yellow card for diving instead. William Magnin hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. The supporters of Lombardie booed when Montagne was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronald Galas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Octave Carrion sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 47th match minute, Lombardie was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Octave Carrion to maneuver through the defense. The Montagne players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Lombardie were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Laurent Baptiste stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Jordan Mainguy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mourad Grégoire saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lorenzo Beuret recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 55th minute, Laurent Baptiste fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marin Sorlin during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Montagne booed when Lombardie was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marin Sorlin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Laurent Baptiste's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jerome Vallee read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. Mourad Grégoire made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from William Magnin in the 65th minute of play. With his leg Jerome Vallee managed to avoid a goal in the 66thth minute, when Lombardie's Lorenzo Beuret fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. William Magnin scored 1-2 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mourad Grégoire, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Montagne's Jerome Vallee proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Montagne from getting a goal against them. If Bertrand Rosier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 79thth minute of the game Lorenzo Beuret who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Montagne's Jerome Vallee was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Laurent Baptiste's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jerome Vallee was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. In the 83rd minute, Octave Carrion reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jerome Vallee. The goal made the score 1-4. Lorenzo Beuret's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 92ndth minute, Jerome Vallee skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Laurent Baptiste blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jerome Vallee having to make a save. Montagne's Jerome Vallee proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 97th minute of the match, managed to save Montagne from getting a goal against them. The Montagne fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Lombardie were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
