A collision led to Bouvard getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Djimmy Gayrard hit a great ball. Edgard Dubroca took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 38th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Pierre-Olivier Chauve. Bouvard's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The RC Aiacciu Corsica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Michal Svatek should have stopped the shot. Pierre-Olivier Chauve showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arthur Jouenne, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. 62 minutes into the match, RC Aiacciu Corsica's goal looked a bit too open when Léon Richoux came free, but Michal Svatek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Grégoire Pause had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Bouvard fans cheered their team off the field, for while RC Aiacciu Corsica had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
