With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paulo Vergnaud prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Thibault Beauvallet hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Villabé defense, John Costes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paulo Vergnaud. The Villabé fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paulo Vergnaud should have stopped the shot. John Costes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 17 minutes of play, La Scaloneta's Moussa Queffelec made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Paulo Vergnaud was left in no man's land by his defense there! Paulo Vergnaud was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Madjid Pauly showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-0 in the 20 minute of play. John Costes took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Paulo Vergnaud. Paulo Vergnaud dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. In the 28th match minute, Villabé was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hugues Raoult to maneuver through the defense. Villabé's Paulo Vergnaud played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by John Costes in the 30th minute of play. Paulo Vergnaud made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pierre Dole in the 32nd minute. Madjid Pauly's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paulo Vergnaud read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. The La Scaloneta fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0. In the 60th minute, Madjid Pauly made a precise shot to the right of Paulo Vergnaud. Villabé's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 9-0. 67 minutes into the game, La Scaloneta's Madjid Pauly nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot.
