Edgard Berger kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. In the 8th minute Cyril Mansouri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victor Claisse saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Villabé's zone, Joris Versini stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulo Vergnaud came out of the goal and Joris Versini tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edgard Berger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Villabé booed when Paris Saint Germain was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Régis Fresneau didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Thibault Beauvallet fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Villabé's protests and gave Thibault Beauvallet a yellow card for diving instead. Thibault Beauvallet hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. When the match had been going on for 16 minutes Gwendal Haller shot a great shot from long distance. It looked like a certain goal, but the audience witnessed a really smashing save by Paulo Vergnaud when he caught the ball only just under the crossbar. When Bob Esther came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Paris Saint Germain fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bob Esther couldn't finish the play. After having played for 21 minutes, Bob Esther managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Paris Saint Germain's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bob Esther was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Edgard Berger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Vergnaud having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Matheo Huleux during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 24th minute, Matheo Huleux hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 31st minute, Hugues Raoult left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Villabé fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Bob Esther recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cyril Mansouri made a kick off. Paris Saint Germain's Victor Claisse played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eddy Bussiere in the 52nd minute of play. When Hugues Raoult came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Villabé fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hugues Raoult couldn't finish the play. Villabé's defense didn't have a chance, in the 55th minute, when Bob Esther scored to the left of an out of position Paulo Vergnaud, making the score, 1-1. Victor Claisse didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hugo Bové went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Paulo Vergnaud took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bob Esther, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Paris Saint Germain booed when Villabé was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eddy Bussiere didn't get a good kick on the ball. 67 minutes into the match, Villabé's goalkeeper Paulo Vergnaud had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Léon Beaussart. Paulo Vergnaud made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bob Esther in the 69th minute of play. Paulo Vergnaud showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bob Esther in the 71st minute of the match. After 72 played minutes Villabé got a freekick which was hit by Hugo Bové. In the 80th minute, Hugo Bové ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Victor Claisse was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. After 83 minutes of play, Paris Saint Germain's Léon Beaussart made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Paulo Vergnaud was left in no man's land by his defense there! Hugues Raoult received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Victor Claisse tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 92nd minute Bob Esther shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Vergnaud saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bob Esther sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Villabé's Paulo Vergnaud got control of the ball when Joris Versini tried to sneak it across the goal line.
