Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Youri Richou kicked off to start the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bob Chassard in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Felix Azam saved Nilvange from getting behind. 10 minutes into the match, Marcelo Ramos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Felix Azam. Nilvange's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marcelo Ramos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Theo Roy charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Theo Roy the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Nilvange's Theo Roy got a free kick in the 14th minute. After 15 played minutes, Lions de Châteauroux's Denis Giurăscu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Felix Azam came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Lions de Châteauroux reached it. After 17 played minutes Nilvange got a freekick which was hit by Matheo Eckert. Matheo Eckert could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Reynaldo Gomes made a huge save. Felix Azam made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Youri Richou in the 27th minute of play. The supporters of Lions de Châteauroux booed when Nilvange was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Theo Roy didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Nilvange defense, Marcelo Ramos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Felix Azam. The Nilvange fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Felix Azam should have stopped the shot. 31 minutes into the match, Bob Chassard had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Felix Azam. Nilvange's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bob Chassard was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. If Marcelo Ramos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42nd minute Bob Chassard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felix Azam saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Anatole Jolivet made a kick off. Reynaldo Gomes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matheo Eckert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcelo Ramos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felix Azam having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Denis Giurăscu during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 57 played minutes Lions de Châteauroux got a freekick which was hit by Denis Giurăscu. With splendid footwork Marcelo Ramos arrived in front of goal to shoot 0-7 by the left pole in the game's 59th minute. Felix Azam made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcelo Ramos in the 66th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matheo Eckert in the 67th minute of play forced Lions de Châteauroux's goalkeeper Reynaldo Gomes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Bixente Levasseur came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Lions de Châteauroux fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bixente Levasseur couldn't finish the play. When Matheo Eckert fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nilvange's protests and gave Matheo Eckert a yellow card for diving instead. Matheo Eckert hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. With his leg Felix Azam managed to avoid a goal in the 80thth minute, when Lions de Châteauroux's Marcelo Ramos fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Youri Richou got free with Felix Azam in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Marcelo Ramos came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Lions de Châteauroux fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcelo Ramos couldn't finish the play. Marcelo Ramoss short, quick shot in the 89thth minute got Felix Azam to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Marcelo Ramos received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Felix Azam came out and tried to block the shot, but Marcelo Ramos slotted it home off the left post making it 0-10 in the 92nd minute. Bob Chassard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felix Azam having to interfere. Lions de Châteauroux's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
