In the 23rdth minute of the game Gaston Le Flem who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Foix's Hamid Lamothe was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 24 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Foix's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Loïc Ruckebusch was slow to take the kick. During this time Fierce's players had a chance to rest. Loïc Ruckebusch made a great header on Fierce's corner, it was just that FC Foix's Hamid Lamothe managed to reach the ball for a save. After 26 played minutes Fierce got a freekick which was hit by Ramón Sirvent. Fabrice Lepetit showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nolan Hivert in the 35th minute of the match. In the 38th minute, Gaston Le Flem left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fierce fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. If Brice Couvelard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nolan Hivert to make the kick off. Clovis Lenoble recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 68 minutes, François-Xavier Chambaud mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Foix and the Fierce players grew even worse after the yellow card. Fierce's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucas Simão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Nolan Hivert's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fabrice Lepetit was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. FC Foix's Hamid Lamothe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save FC Foix from getting a goal against them.
