In the 31st match minute, Lions de Châteauroux was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isaac Vermudo to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Youri Richou put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Barnabé Guyon. The Lions de Châteauroux fans' excitement grew in the 42nd match minute when Lions de Châteauroux's Youri Richou looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Youri Richou in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Barnabé Guyon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. A hard shot by Isaac Vermudo from long distance, 53 minutes into the match, got Barnabé Guyon's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side.
