Constantin Colon was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match clock showed 7 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Stanislas Bagot sped through Cantenay's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Constantin Colon. Cantenay's Constantin Colon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anatole Le Lay in the 11th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Stanislas Bagot managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pélicans FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Stanislas Bagot was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Constantin Colon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Stanislas Bagot took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Constantin Colon. Constantin Colon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. The crowd rose to their feet as Cantenay's Eliott Collard slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jim Bannatyne. That made the score 1-3 after 25 minutes of play. If Zinedine Ciret had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 37 minutes, Anatole Le Lay managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pélicans FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anatole Le Lay was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Toufik Vayssiere kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anatole Le Lay in the 40th minute of play forced Cantenay's goalkeeper Constantin Colon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 42 minutes, Toufik Vayssiere mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cantenay and the Pélicans FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Cantenay's Toufik Vayssiere got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Pélicans FC's Stanislas Bagot got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Stanislas Bagot made a kick off. Stanislas Bagot could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Constantin Colon made a huge save. Guillaume Seret received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Constantin Colon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Stanislas Bagot scored 1-5 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Constantin Colon, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Marc-Aurèle Nortier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eliott Collard hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice moves Stanislas Bagot could shoot a difficult shot in the 62nd minute, which Constantin Colon however easily saved by the left post. Anatole Le Lay struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Constantin Colon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pélicans FC. 66 minutes into the match, Anatole Le Lay had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Constantin Colon. Cantenay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Anatole Le Lay was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-6. Constantin Colon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Stanislas Bagot in the 70th minute. After a rather tough play, Cantenay's Toufik Vayssiere got a free kick in the 73rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Stanislas Bagot got free with Constantin Colon in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Constantin Colon was out of position in the 76 minute of play, and Stanislas Bagot capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Stanislas Bagot really showed his touch with that goal: 1-7. Constantin Colon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anatole Le Lay in the 79th minute of the match. In the 81st minute Stanislas Bagot shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Constantin Colon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cantenay's Constantin Colon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hamid Schmitt in the 82nd minute of play. Constantin Colon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anatole Le Lay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stanislas Bagot could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Constantin Colon made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hamid Schmitt in the 92nd minute of play forced Cantenay's goalkeeper Constantin Colon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stanislas Bagot's late challenge caught a Cantenay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Stanislas Bagot helped the player get up and apologised. When the match was over Pélicans FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Cantenay throughout the match.
