Avel Vat's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Xavier Dridi 36 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-2. Marco Nugues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Marin Pieri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yves Amet made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when François Étienne sent off a good shot on target. Télindière's Marin Pieri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco Nugues in the 44th minute of play.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. François Étienne was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute Léonard Beuve shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marin Pieri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yves Amet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from François Étienne, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. The supporters of Avel Vat booed when Télindière was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eymeric Appere didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Charly Pirès fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Télindière's protests and gave Charly Pirès a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Avel Vat booed when Télindière was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Charly Pirès didn't get a good kick on the ball. Avel Vat's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
