After a rather tough play, Reyrieux's Marin Guine got a free kick in the 7th minute. Élie Le Roux took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guy Gagnaire, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Raoul Bienaimé kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Maël Romanet. That made the score 1-0 in the 13 minute of play. Raoul Bienaimé sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Noureddine Pinet in the 30th minute of play forced GAS MONKEY's goalkeeper Élie Le Roux to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Élie Le Roux took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Flavian Sureau, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 37th minute Guy Gagnaire shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Élie Le Roux saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, GAS MONKEY's David Rethore got a free kick in the 38th minute. Marin Guine hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Sam Baclet made the kick off in the second half. With 51 minutes on the clock, Marin Guine commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Maël Romanet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sam Baclet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Raoul Bienaimé fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maël Romanet having to interfere. Sidney Audouard kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Guy Gagnaire in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Élie Le Roux prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Noa Jannot took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Élie Le Roux. Élie Le Roux dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ilan Velasco in the 73rd minute of play forced Reyrieux's goalkeeper Maël Romanet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maël Romanet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raoul Bienaimé, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Reyrieux's Guy Gagnaire got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Reyrieux's Maël Romanet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ilan Velasco in the 83rd minute of play. In the 84th minute, Sam Baclet left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The GAS MONKEY fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. With a little luck, GAS MONKEY's Élie Le Roux got control of the ball when Guy Gagnaire tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sam Baclet in the 95th minute of play forced Reyrieux's goalkeeper Maël Romanet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. GAS MONKEY's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
