Maël Romanet was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Adil Albrecht scored 1-4 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Maël Romanet, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Serge Vielle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maël Romanet having to interfere. 47 minutes into the match, Reyrieux's goal looked a bit too open when Adil Albrecht came free, but Maël Romanet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 1-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Guy Gagnaire made a kick off. Serge Vielle struck a weak shot in the 50th minute. Jean-Charles Sauvaget took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guy Gagnaire, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 2-6 became the score in the 72nd minute when Adil Albrecht elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Adil Albrecht's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Maël Romanet was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. Maël Romanet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Serge Vielle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Flavian Sureau hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. 81 minutes into the match, Reyrieux's goalkeeper Maël Romanet had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Serge Vielle. Cellule's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
