Rodrigue Jourdren might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Omar Laffont. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rodrigue Jourdren ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 14th minute, William Dugarry made a precise shot to the right of Hamza De Jésus. Geoffroy Audy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Omar Laffont having to interfere. The supporters of Coutes booed when Beutre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pierre-Olivier Chartrain didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gameiro Dubarry in the 39th minute of play forced Beutre's goalkeeper Hamza De Jésus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 65th minute Gameiro Dubarry shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hamza De Jésus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. William Dugarry's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Hamza De Jésus firmly grabbed it by the left post. Hamza De Jésus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thierry Marconnet, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. With an all-out effort, Coutes's Hamza De Jésus threw himself towards the right post 94 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gameiro Dubarry, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Coutes played a much better game than Beutre and deserved their victory. The Beutre players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
