The supporters of Étoile du Sud booed when Rouret was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. John-David Hennebelle didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thierry Henri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Roman Pouyet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jérôme Couvelard got free with Diego Thomazeau in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Humberto Grabiel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lorenzo Seurin in the 21st minute of the match. A collision led to Rouret getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Rayan Auriac hit a great ball. Diego Thomazeau made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jérôme Couvelard in the 23rd minute. Rouret were furious when Yannick Fraboulet was red carded, 25 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 24 minutes into the game, one of Rouret:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 26th minute there was a penalty for Étoile du Sud. Ludomir Tipinski stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Diego Thomazeau. 1-0. In the 29th minute, Lorenzo Seurin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 31st play minute Jérôme Couvelard came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Diego Thomazeau. 2-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hugues Guiet during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jérôme Couvelard could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Diego Thomazeau made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Jérôme Couvelard managed to get in a good position for a shot. Étoile du Sud's supporters rose to their feet, but Jérôme Couvelard was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Diego Thomazeau breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Diego Thomazeau showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jérôme Couvelard in the 47th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

A collision led to Rouret getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Lorenzo Seurin hit a great ball. Thierry Henri might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Diego Thomazeau. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Thierry Henri ran back to his position shaking his head. Diego Thomazeau showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daryl Cottineau, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Diego Thomazeau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daryl Cottineau in the 72nd minute of play. Roman Pouyet hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Diego Thomazeau came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Étoile du Sud's Daryl Cottineau. But to his dismay, Daryl Cottineau quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. In the 91st minute, Daryl Cottineau made a precise shot to the right of Diego Thomazeau. Rouret's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. Ludomir Tipinski hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Malcom Khelifi during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 96 played minutes Rouret got a freekick which was hit by Malcom Khelifi. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Étoile du Sud had played much better football throughout.
