The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Grégory Castello hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paul-Henri Gayraud in the 11th minute of play forced Formation Pure Lyonnaise's goalkeeper Nelson Cloarec to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nelson Cloarec showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karim Cosme in the 11th minute of the match. Formation Pure Lyonnaise's Nelson Cloarec played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Grégory Castello in the 15th minute of play. Nelson Cloarec made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paul-Henri Gayraud in the 22nd minute of play. Nelson Cloarec didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Karim Cosme went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Adil Magaud fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nelson Cloarec having to interfere. Nelson Cloarec took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karim Cosme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 30 minutes of play, Rathmore Lime Tree's Karim Cosme made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nelson Cloarec was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Karim Cosme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cyril Chevron kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Martial Hess recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nelson Cloarec took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adil Magaud, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rathmore Lime Tree's Georges Labarthe was substituted for Paul-Henri Gayraud. After the first half Rathmore Lime Tree were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Davy Giacomoni to make the kick off. If Karim Cosme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jordan Laforgue made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Davy Giacomoni in the 59th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karim Cosme in the 61st minute of play forced Formation Pure Lyonnaise's goalkeeper Nelson Cloarec to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nelson Cloarec made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernand Rouland in the 67th minute of play. Nelson Cloarec didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fernand Rouland went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Nelson Cloarec showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernand Rouland, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Nelson Cloarec took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernand Rouland, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 84th minute Rathmore Lime Tree were awarded a corner. Grégory Castello went to the cornerflag to take it. Georges Labarthe was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. The throw-in from Léonard Laumond in the 94th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Rathmore Lime Tree's Brian Boullet. When the match was over Rathmore Lime Tree could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Formation Pure Lyonnaise throughout the match.
