In the 13th match minute, Formation Pure Lyonnaise was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Léonard Laumond to maneuver through the defense. When Hercule Caire came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Ammerschwihr fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hercule Caire couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Formation Pure Lyonnaise's zone, Robert Hess stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nelson Cloarec came out of the goal and Robert Hess tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Just Bouley managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ammerschwihr's supporters rose to their feet, but Just Bouley was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nelson Cloarec breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 25th minute, Formation Pure Lyonnaise's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Just Bouley fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Robert Hess fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nelson Cloarec having to interfere. Alix Dumaine's late challenge caught a Formation Pure Lyonnaise's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alix Dumaine helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Formation Pure Lyonnaise booed when Ammerschwihr was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alix Dumaine didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Formation Pure Lyonnaise's Hamza Le Forestier got a free kick in the 37th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Hercule Caire managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ammerschwihr's supporters rose to their feet, but Hercule Caire was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nelson Cloarec breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Formation Pure Lyonnaise's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Hercule Caire 41 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Formation Pure Lyonnaise's Gaspard Letourneux couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Ammerschwihr. The supporters of Ammerschwihr booed when Formation Pure Lyonnaise was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pascal Collon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ammerschwihr's Hercule Caire got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nelson Cloarec was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ammerschwihr's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
