The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Stade de Reims's Roman Chassang played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rayanne Le Bastard in the 5th minute of play. In the 8th minute, one of Stade de Reims:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Stade de Reims. In the 12th match minute, Planète Marseille was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rayanne Le Bastard to maneuver through the defense. Planète Marseille's Rayanne Le Bastard got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 18th minute Rayanne Le Bastard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roman Chassang saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stade de Reims's Roman Chassang played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victorien Seurin in the 21st minute of play. Émeric Bigard hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Titouan Beaujard kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. After 26 played minutes, Planète Marseille's Dario Florinio shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Roman Chassang came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Planète Marseille reached it. 32 minutes into the game, Rayanne Le Bastard cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Roman Chassang was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 38 minutes into the match, Victorien Seurin notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Stade de Reims's Roman Chassang. Roman Chassang was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 42nd match minute, Planète Marseille was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dario Florinio to maneuver through the defense. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Samy Dartiguelongue was the one to do the kick off. When Rayanne Le Bastard came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Planète Marseille fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rayanne Le Bastard couldn't finish the play. Roman Chassang made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Victorien Seurin sent off a good shot on target. In the 54th minute Rayanne Le Bastard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roman Chassang saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 55 minutes into the match, Stade de Reims's goalkeeper Roman Chassang had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Victorien Seurin. Victorien Seurin in the 60thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Roman Chassang, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Rayanne Le Bastard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Malik Coquelet kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. 69 minutes into the match, Stade de Reims's goalkeeper Roman Chassang had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Victorien Seurin. When the match had gone on for 70 minutes, Rayanne Le Bastard took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Roman Chassang to make any attempt to save it. Victorien Seurin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Roman Chassang made a huge save. Victorien Seurin was extremely unlucky when he, in the 75th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Rayanne Le Bastard managed to get in a good position for a shot. Planète Marseille's supporters rose to their feet, but Rayanne Le Bastard was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roman Chassang breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 84 played minutes Stade de Reims got a freekick which was hit by Morgan Millien. In the 89th minute Planète Marseille were awarded a corner. Dario Florinio went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Planète Marseille's corner Dario Florinio fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Roman Chassang quite easily take care of the ball. Victorien Seurin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Roman Chassang made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Stade de Reims's zone, Victorien Seurin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roman Chassang came out of the goal and Victorien Seurin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Planète Marseille's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
