Spectators: 8437 (Terracing: 6329, Seating: 1940, VIP seats: 168) Roman Chassang came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Lezennes's Olaf Zaworski. But to his dismay, Olaf Zaworski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bruno Jule during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Roman Chassang took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amador Thomas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 13 minutes, Morgan Millien mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Stade de Reims and the Lezennes players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Stade de Reims fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 13th minute. Penalty! If Olaf Zaworski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Olaf Zaworski kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Roman Chassang. That made the score 3-0 in the 29 minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, Lezennes's goal looked a bit too open when Samy Dartiguelongue came free, but Jörgen Back reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jörgen Back took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samy Dartiguelongue, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 37th minute Carl Dachicourt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jörgen Back saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A hard shot 39 in the game by Olaf Zaworski from a close distance when the talented Roman Chassang managed to make a qualified save. Stade de Reims's players were relieved. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Samy Dartiguelongue stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Olaf Zaworski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lezennes's supporters rose to their feet, but Olaf Zaworski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roman Chassang breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 52 minutes, Mané Cosme managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lezennes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mané Cosme was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jörgen Back was out of position in the 54 minute of play, and Samy Dartiguelongue capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Samy Dartiguelongue really showed his touch with that goal: 3-1. Jörgen Back showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Samy Dartiguelongue in the 62nd minute of the match. If Mané Cosme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Olaf Zaworski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Roman Chassang was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. Lezennes's Mané Cosme got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Olaf Zaworski in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Roman Chassang saved Stade de Reims from getting behind. After having played for 85 minutes, Mané Cosme managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lezennes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mané Cosme was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Lezennes's Olaf Zaworski in the 90th minute got a chance for a shot 90th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Stade de Reims's goalie prevented a goal. 92 minutes into the match, Stade de Reims's goal looked a bit too open when Olaf Zaworski came free, but Roman Chassang reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lezennes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amador Thomas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Olaf Zaworski in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Roman Chassang prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
