An unexpectedly hard shot by Amador Thomas in the 13th minute of play forced Plappeville's goalkeeper Gilles Roman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Herbert Casse made in the 16th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Lezennes's Codrin Pivniceru. 17 minutes into the match, Plappeville's goalkeeper Gilles Roman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mané Cosme. Lezennes's Jörgen Back played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marvin Berge in the 18th minute of play. The supporters of Plappeville booed when Lezennes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amador Thomas didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Lezennes getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Nestor Villota hit a great ball. 24 minutes into the match, Marvin Berge notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Lezennes's Jörgen Back. Jörgen Back was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Lezennes's Nestor Villota quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Kylian Bousquiet, made in the 27th minute of the game. In the 29th minute, Mané Cosme got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jörgen Back came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Plappeville's Jordy Morgant. But to his dismay, Jordy Morgant quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. In the 38th minute Gilles Beucher shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jörgen Back saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Afanasiy Hell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilles Roman having to interfere. Olaf Zaworski might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gilles Roman. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Olaf Zaworski ran back to his position shaking his head. Lezennes's Olaf Zaworski managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Erwin Gouin in the 46 minute of the game. After 47 minutes, Mané Cosme mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lezennes and the Plappeville players grew even worse after the yellow card. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Jordy Morgant made the kick off in the second half. Jordy Morgant received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jörgen Back came out and tried to block the shot, but Jordy Morgant slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 52nd minute. Lezennes's attentive Nestor Villota managed to snatch the ball when Kylian Bousquiet made a throw-in in the 55th minute of the game. Olaf Zaworski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Gilles Roman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Lezennes booed when Plappeville was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kylian Bousquiet didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 70th minute, Bart Portejoie ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jörgen Back was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. Mané Cosme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilles Roman having to interfere. Bart Portejoie hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jordy Morgant in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jörgen Back prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Plappeville booed when Lezennes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mike Abraham didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 95 minutes, Bart Portejoie managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Plappeville's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bart Portejoie was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gérald Gosselin charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gérald Gosselin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Lezennes lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
