In the 5th minute, Mario Gautherot got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 6 minutes into the match, Haulchin's goal looked a bit too open when Greg Lequesne came free, but Merlin Jacquemart reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of AC Cristal booed when Haulchin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victorien Broutin didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Jean-Marc Taillefer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 9th minute, Jean-Marc Taillefer ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Merlin Jacquemart was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 14 minutes into the match, Haulchin's goal looked a bit too open when Jean-François Lajus came free, but Merlin Jacquemart reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Merlin Jacquemart made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jean-Marc Taillefer in the 15th minute of play. Merlin Jacquemart showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jean-Marc Taillefer, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. After 21 minutes of play, AC Cristal's Jean-François Lajus made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Merlin Jacquemart was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Geoffrey Plaud had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 27th minute, Jean-François Lajus made a precise shot to the right of Merlin Jacquemart. Haulchin's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. In the 32ndth minute of the game Jean-Marc Taillefer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Haulchin's Merlin Jacquemart was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Merlin Jacquemart showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Greg Lequesne, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Mario Gautherot hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. 43 minutes into the match, Haulchin's goal looked a bit too open when Greg Lequesne came free, but Merlin Jacquemart reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The AC Cristal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. After the first half AC Cristal were leading 0-6. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mario Gautherot was the one to do the kick off. Merlin Jacquemart came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by AC Cristal's Jean-Marc Taillefer. But to his dismay, Jean-Marc Taillefer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-7. In the 57th minute Faouzi Duclos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Merlin Jacquemart saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. AC Cristal's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Robert Bardin in the 62nd minute. Jean-François Lajus was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. In the 67th minute, Jean-Marc Taillefer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AC Cristal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-8. Merlin Jacquemart made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Greg Lequesne in the 70th minute of play. When AC Cristal's Jean-François Lajus in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Haulchin's goalie prevented a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Jean-François Lajus managed to get in a good position for a shot. AC Cristal's supporters rose to their feet, but Jean-François Lajus was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Merlin Jacquemart breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Greg Lequesne was extremely unlucky when he, in the 74th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 80th minute Mario Gautherot shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elias Bocage saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 82nd minute, AC Cristal's Jean-François Lajus ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Merlin Jacquemart. Merlin Jacquemart yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-10. Thierry Clerget hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Robert Bardin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Merlin Jacquemart made a huge save. Jean-François Lajus struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Merlin Jacquemart didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AC Cristal. 91 minutes into the match, Jean-Marc Taillefer had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Merlin Jacquemart. Haulchin's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jean-Marc Taillefer was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-11. An unexpectedly hard shot by Greg Lequesne in the 93rd minute of play forced Haulchin's goalkeeper Merlin Jacquemart to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 96 minutes, Jean-François Lajus managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AC Cristal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jean-François Lajus was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match was over AC Cristal could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Haulchin throughout the match.
