The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thibault Masson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Constantin Magnet in the 10th minute of the match. When Mustapha Ogier fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored meyzieu fc's protests and gave Mustapha Ogier a yellow card for diving instead. Mustapha Ogier kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Kevan Rébière sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Yoann Loupias during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Thibault Masson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 32nd minute, Mathias Toure got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aiolos Lalagos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Étienne Nony, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Allan Marie-Louise fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aiolos Lalagos having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Sammy Éloi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Boussange's supporters rose to their feet, but Sammy Éloi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aiolos Lalagos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in meyzieu fc's zone, Mathias Toure stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aiolos Lalagos came out of the goal and Mathias Toure tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half meyzieu fc were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Étienne Nony made a kick off. Aiolos Lalagos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kevan Rébière in the 54th minute of play. If Allan Marie-Louise had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kevan Rébière kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, meyzieu fc's Thibault Masson threw himself towards the right post 60 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Christophe Bailleux, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Constantin Magnet could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Thibault Masson made a huge save. If Tristan Oudet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thibault Masson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tristan Oudet in the 68th minute. Thibault Masson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Octave Sureau, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. A collision led to Boussange getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Clément Delande hit a great ball. Tristan Oudet could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Thibault Masson made a huge save. After 93 minutes, Serge Vincendeau mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the meyzieu fc and the Boussange players grew even worse after the yellow card.
