He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in meyzieu fc reached it. When Bob Santin fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored meyzieu fc's protests and gave Bob Santin a yellow card for diving instead. Bob Santin hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Uriel Ixidor was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tristan Oudet showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 19 minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Jules Bucaille managed to get in a good position for a shot. Olympique Versailles's supporters rose to their feet, but Jules Bucaille was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jules Bucaille in the 40th minute of play forced meyzieu fc's goalkeeper Aiolos Lalagos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yoann Loupias hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. In the 42nd match minute, meyzieu fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Constantin Magnet to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Olympique Versailles defense, Yoann Loupias kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Uriel Ixidor. The Olympique Versailles fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Uriel Ixidor should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Olympique Versailles's zone, Yoann Loupias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Uriel Ixidor came out of the goal and Yoann Loupias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tristan Oudet was the one to do the kick off. Aiolos Lalagos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jules Bucaille, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. In the 60thth minute of the game Jules Bucaille who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but meyzieu fc's Aiolos Lalagos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 67th minute, Olympique Versailles's Zinedine Charlot dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-1. The supporters of meyzieu fc booed when Olympique Versailles was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zinedine Charlot didn't get a good kick on the ball. meyzieu fc's Ghislain Briquet couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 71st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Olympique Versailles. Aiolos Lalagos made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Amine Peyrard sent off a good shot on target. Olympique Versailles's Amine Peyrard got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Olympique Versailles's Gilbert Brouillard pulled a muscle in his back after 82 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Yoann Loupias's late challenge caught a Olympique Versailles's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Yoann Loupias helped the player get up and apologised. After 91 minutes, Ghislain Briquet mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the meyzieu fc and the Olympique Versailles players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ghislain Briquet kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Amine Peyrard struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Aiolos Lalagos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Olympique Versailles. The meyzieu fc support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
