Charles-Emmanuel Varin scored 1-0 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alexandre Bourreau, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Red Star F.C.'s Bob Mouchet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Morgan Loustau in the 48th minute of play.

The wind increased when Lucas Diss made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Red Star F.C. getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. André Merot hit a great ball. Martin Dejoux's late challenge caught a Barre's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bahattin Azimli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandre Bourreau having to interfere. Paul-Émile Pouille hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. 75 minutes into the match, Red Star F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Lucas Diss came free, but Bob Mouchet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Lucas Diss had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
