But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ghislain Bonnichon couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Red Star F.C. booed when Inter Stella 5555 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aimé Brown didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee showed François-Xavier Vinay the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 91st minute, François-Xavier Vinay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Red Star F.C. fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Inter Stella 5555 were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
