The referee ignored Barre's protests and gave Émeric Douard a yellow card for diving instead. Germain Gherardi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dave Seurin went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Germain Gherardi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aimé Brown, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Through an outstanding action, after 43 minutes, Germain Gherardi successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
