After 10 minutes of play, Red Star F.C.'s Nicky Lacharité made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jérémy Gauvrit was left in no man's land by his defense there! 15 minutes into the game, Red Star F.C.'s Jorge Da Silva nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jérémy Gauvrit made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Bob Mouchet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dominique Pages, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Orcines were awarded a corner in the 21th minute after Red Star F.C.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Étienne Horel took the corner. In the 22nd match minute, Orcines was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Étienne Horel to maneuver through the defense. 23 minutes into the match, Orcines's goal looked a bit too open when Nicky Lacharité came free, but Jérémy Gauvrit reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jérémy Gauvrit showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorge Da Silva in the 26th minute of the match. Bob Mouchet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Charlie Laplagne in the 30th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Orcines's zone, Nicky Lacharité stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jérémy Gauvrit came out of the goal and Nicky Lacharité tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jérémy Gauvrit came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Red Star F.C.'s Jorge Da Silva. But to his dismay, Jorge Da Silva quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. In the 39th minute, Red Star F.C.'s Charles-Emmanuel Varin seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Charles-Emmanuel Varin the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Red Star F.C. protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Charles-Emmanuel Varin had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Red Star F.C. fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 38th minute. Penalty! Bob Mouchet had in the 40thth minute some difficulties stopping Étienne Horel's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After a rather tough play, Red Star F.C.'s Johnny Saux got a free kick in the 47th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nicky Lacharité stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Bob Mouchet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dominique Pages in the 59th minute of the match. Madjid Dorier recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Red Star F.C.'s Bob Mouchet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olivier Morgand in the 61st minute of play. André Merot's late challenge caught a Orcines's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. André Merot helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Red Star F.C. getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. André Merot hit a great ball. Bob Mouchet didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Orcines's Dominique Pages shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-4 in the ordered_time% minute. Bob Mouchet didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dominique Pages went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Johnny Saux managed to get in a good position for a shot. Red Star F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Johnny Saux was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jérémy Gauvrit breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jérémy Gauvrit took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicky Lacharité, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Camille Guénot recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 88th minute, Johnny Saux hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Étienne Horel in the 91st minute of play forced Red Star F.C.'s goalkeeper Bob Mouchet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Red Star F.C.'s Camille Guénot got a free kick in the 93rd minute. 98 minutes into the match, Étienne Horel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bob Mouchet. Red Star F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Étienne Horel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-4. The Red Star F.C. supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Red Star F.C. would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
