The Sorges fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adrien Boche should have stopped the shot. 12 minutes into the match, Danny Girouard had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Adrien Boche. Sorges's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Danny Girouard was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Gustave Capon struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Adrien Boche didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for marseïlle. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Stanislas Royer put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Adrien Boche. Joël Pourchet hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Stanislas Royer in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adrien Boche prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Stanislas Royer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Sorges booed when marseïlle was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Danny Girouard didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Élie Gamet in the 40th minute of play forced marseïlle's goalkeeper Rémi Dif to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adrien Boche showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stanislas Royer, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute.
