Thierry Platon kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Clem Fath took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dariusz Czerniak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Erzurum25 were furious when Ogün Samast was red carded, 16 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 16th minute of the game. One of Erzurum25:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Cosa nostra Lyon:s goal. The referee gave Cosa nostra Lyon a penalty, 18 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Erwann Patrice, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Erzurum25's Bianco Di Camillo. 0-2. The supporters of Erzurum25 booed when Cosa nostra Lyon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erwann Patrice didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Thierry Platon during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When Bogdan Bambas came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Cosa nostra Lyon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bogdan Bambas couldn't finish the play. After the first half Cosa nostra Lyon were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Bianco Di Camillo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Clem Fath showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dariusz Czerniak, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Erzurum25's zone, Erwann Patrice stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bianco Di Camillo came out of the goal and Erwann Patrice tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Cosa nostra Lyon booed when Erzurum25 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernest Chevreuil didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 70th minute Dariusz Czerniak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clem Fath saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 71 minutes into the match, Cosa nostra Lyon's goal looked a bit too open when Dariusz Czerniak came free, but Clem Fath reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bogdan Bambas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bogdan Bambas in the 77thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Bianco Di Camillo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 87th minute Florian Lardenois shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bianco Di Camillo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 90 minutes into the game, Samir Le Comte threw the ball into play from the sideline. Cosa nostra Lyon's Florian Lardenois quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Cosa nostra Lyon's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
