Constantin Guittonneau made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. The supporters of Rouen booed when Coqs Rouges Bordeaux was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mike Bonin didn't get a good kick on the ball. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gabin Pichereau showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After having played for 29 minutes, Hugo Machard managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rouen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hugo Machard was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Rouen's goalkeeper Constantin Guittonneau, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Constantin Guittonneau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Malcom Vuillemin in the 34th minute of play. 36 minutes into the game, Malcom Vuillemin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Constantin Guittonneau was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hugo Machard got free with Gabin Pichereau in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacob Maigrot in the 40th minute of play forced Rouen's goalkeeper Constantin Guittonneau to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

After a defensive mix-up in Rouen's zone, Evan Grave stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Constantin Guittonneau came out of the goal and Evan Grave tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 54th minute, Malcom Vuillemin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rouen's goalkeeper Constantin Guittonneau, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 58th minute, Hugo Machard left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rouen fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Rouen were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
