A beautiful save bye Union Sportive Modane's goalie prevented a goal. Ignacy Milan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Léon Cailleaux, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Robin Briatte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 19 minutes into the game, Roncourt's Léon Cailleaux nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ignacy Milan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Mounir Perry made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Stanislas Mazy sent off a good shot on target. Roncourt's Mounir Perry proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Roncourt from getting a goal against them. When J.P. Kapar came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Roncourt fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that J.P. Kapar couldn't finish the play. A sloppy throw-in by Jimmy Bichon in the 37th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Roncourt's Cleto Pomelov. An unexpectedly hard shot by J.P. Kapar in the 39th minute of play forced Union Sportive Modane's goalkeeper Ignacy Milan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ignacy Milan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from J.P. Kapar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 43 minutes into the match, Roncourt's goal looked a bit too open when Robin Briatte came free, but Mounir Perry reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ignacy Milan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Léon Cailleaux in the 47th minute of play. The corner led Roncourt's Horácio Larreta to fire away a dangerous shot which Ignacy Milan despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marty Byrde made a kick off. The audience was convinced that Léon Cailleaux's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ignacy Milan was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. Ignacy Milan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Roncourt. Roncourt's Désiré Lemière was substituted for Thierry Lhermite. Arturo Palma hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Mounir Perry showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stanislas Mazy in the 70th minute of the match. Ignacy Milan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jean-Marc Kazmierczak, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. In the 74th minute Jean-Marc Kazmierczak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ignacy Milan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ignacy Milan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jean-Marc Kazmierczak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Roncourt's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Désiré Lemière in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 88 minutes into the match, Union Sportive Modane's goal looked a bit too open when Jean-Marc Kazmierczak came free, but Ignacy Milan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 92nd minute Stanislas Mazy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mounir Perry saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 96th minute Jean-Marc Kazmierczak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ignacy Milan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jean-Marc Kazmierczak scored 1-2 in the 97th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ignacy Milan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Roncourt had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
