Hans Martin Joensen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jónleif Anghel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from John Eysturoy, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. In the 13th minute John Eysturoy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jónleif Anghel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 14 minutes into the game, Bárður Benjaminsen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Jónleif Anghel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Bárður Benjaminsen struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Jónleif Anghel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arsenal FC. In the 20th minute Diaba Egholm shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sigurd Johannesen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bárður Benjaminsen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 25 minutes, Andy Gunnarsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vikarbyrgi and the Arsenal FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 25 played minutes Vikarbyrgi got a freekick which was hit by Andy Gunnarsson. Vikarbyrgi's Jónleif Anghel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by John Eysturoy in the 27th minute of play. Sigurd Johannesen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diaba Egholm in the 29th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers John Eysturoy in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jónleif Anghel saved Vikarbyrgi from getting behind. Diaba Egholm struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Sigurd Johannesen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vikarbyrgi. Jónleif Anghel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from John Eysturoy in the 41st minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, Bárður Benjaminsen notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Vikarbyrgi's Jónleif Anghel. Jónleif Anghel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 49thth minute of the game Øssur Anghel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vikarbyrgi's Jónleif Anghel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Diaba Egholm was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Arsenal FC's John Norðbúð got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Arsenal FC's Sigurd Johannesen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sorin av Fløtum in the 55th minute of play. In the 59th minute, Bárður Benjaminsen reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jónleif Anghel. The goal made the score 0-3. 64 minutes into the match, Arsenal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Diaba Egholm came free, but Sigurd Johannesen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vikarbyrgi's defense didn't have a chance, in the 69th minute, when Bárður Benjaminsen scored to the left of an out of position Jónleif Anghel, making the score, 0-4. Diaba Egholm received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Sigurd Johannesen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vikarbyrgi's goalkeeper Jónleif Anghel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bárður Benjaminsen in the 89th minute of play forced Vikarbyrgi's goalkeeper Jónleif Anghel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. John Eysturoy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Arsenal FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
