Sorin av Fløtum's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jón Hansen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. After 15 minutes, Hans Martin Joensen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vikarbyrgi and the Rothley players grew even worse after the yellow card. Rothley's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Diaba Egholm was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Sorin av Fløtum received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Jón Hansen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Sorin av Fløtum had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Diaba Egholm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Andrew Joensen took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 43rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jón Hansen. Rothley's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 44 minutes into the game, Christian Martin Knudsen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rothley's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vikarbyrgi the free kick. Christian Martin Knudsen hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Diaba Egholm to strike the kick off in the second half. Nenad Falkenberg struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Jónleif Anghel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rothley. In the 55th minute, Mikkjal av Fløtum got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice moves Sorin av Fløtum could shoot a difficult shot in the 63rd minute, which Jón Hansen however easily saved by the left post. Diaba Egholm struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Jón Hansen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vikarbyrgi. In the 68th minute Diaba Egholm shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jón Hansen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Diaba Egholm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jón Hansen having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Diaba Egholm managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vikarbyrgi's supporters rose to their feet, but Diaba Egholm was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jón Hansen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Diaba Egholm struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Jón Hansen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vikarbyrgi. In the 91st minute, Vikarbyrgi's Diaba Egholm dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. 97 minutes into the match, Vikarbyrgi's goal looked a bit too open when Nenad Falkenberg came free, but Jónleif Anghel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sorin av Fløtum fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jón Hansen having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Vikarbyrgi eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
