Bárður Benjaminsen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Jón Hansen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Rothley's zone, Bárður Benjaminsen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jón Hansen came out of the goal and Bárður Benjaminsen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Rothley getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Christian Martin Knudsen hit a great ball. 29 minutes into the match, Arsenal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nenad Falkenberg came free, but Sigurd Johannesen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Rothley's Mikkjal av Fløtum got a free kick in the 35th minute. John Eysturoy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jón Hansen having to interfere. Mikkjal av Fløtum recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Jákup Olsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mikkjal av Fløtum was the one to do the kick off. Bárður Benjaminsen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 55 minutes, Mikkjal av Fløtum managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rothley's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mikkjal av Fløtum was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jón Hansen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bárður Benjaminsen in the 60th minute of the match. Rothley's attack was well implemented in the 61st minute, but when Nenad Falkenberg was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Gert Pauli Samuelsen's late challenge caught a Arsenal FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gert Pauli Samuelsen helped the player get up and apologised. John Eysturoy struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Jón Hansen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arsenal FC. If Bárður Benjaminsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Bárður Benjaminsen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jón Hansen was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. 82 minutes into the game, Christian Martin Knudsen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rothley's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arsenal FC the free kick. Arsenal FC's Sigurd Johannesen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Arsenal FC from getting a goal against them. The Arsenal FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Rothley's performance. The match ended with a win for Rothley.
