The referee ignored Haldarsvík's protests and gave Jóhann Joensen a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Haldarsvík getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Jóhann Joensen hit a great ball. After 3 minutes, Sjúrdur Pauli Samuelsen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Haldarsvík and the Depil players grew even worse after the yellow card. Bárður Tórgarð recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mikkjal Martin Knudsen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Jóan Færø was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Atli Martin Knudsen showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 12 minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Haldarsvík's goal looked a bit too open when Mikkjal Martin Knudsen came free, but Jóan Færø reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 23rd match minute, Haldarsvík was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Atli Jónsson to maneuver through the defense. The Depil fans' excitement grew in the 26th match minute when Depil's Mikkjal Martin Knudsen looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bárður Tórgarð got free with Jóan Færø in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Haldarsvík's defense didn't have a chance, in the 29th minute, when Bárður Tórgarð scored to the left of an out of position Jóan Færø, making the score, 4-1. After a rather tough play, Haldarsvík's Torkil Dalbúð got a free kick in the 31st minute. The supporters of Haldarsvík booed when Depil was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tonny á Borg didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 34th match minute, Depil was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anderson Danielsen to maneuver through the defense. Bárður Tórgarð recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Bárður Tórgarð had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mikkjal Martin Knudsen in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jóan Færø saved Haldarsvík from getting behind. If Mikkjal Martin Knudsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 47th match minute, Depil was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by John Tórgarð to maneuver through the defense. In the 48th minute of the match Torkil Dalbúð shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ásbjørn Djurhuus showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fríðrikur Tórgarð to make the kick off. Bárður Tórgarð might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jóan Færø. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bárður Tórgarð ran back to his position shaking his head. Hanus Midjurd's late challenge caught a Depil's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hanus Midjurd helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Haldarsvík getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Hanus Midjurd hit a great ball. Mikkjal Martin Knudsen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Jóan Færø tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jóan Færø showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mikkjal Martin Knudsen in the 75th minute of the match. In the 78th minute Bárður Tórgarð shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jóan Færø saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 79th minute, Haldarsvík's Hans á Neystabø seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Hans á Neystabø the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Haldarsvík protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Hans á Neystabø had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After a rather tough play, Haldarsvík's Hans á Neystabø got a free kick in the 80th minute. Jóan Færø showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mikkjal Martin Knudsen, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Bárður Tórgarð fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jóan Færø having to interfere. The supporters of Haldarsvík booed when Depil was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anderson Danielsen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jóan Færø showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mikkjal Martin Knudsen in the 88th minute of the match. 93 minutes into the game, Depil's Jákup Mikkelsen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jóan Færø made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Depil fully deserved thier win.
