Spectators: 7000 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 2000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Gert Jónsson got the match started through his kick off. 4 minutes into the match, Depil's goalkeeper Ásbjørn Djurhuus had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gert Jónsson. Suni Samuelsen hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. In the 6th minute, Anderson Danielsen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Birkdale City's Gert Dam shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 7th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Ásbjørn Djurhuus but with some difficulty. Atli Castilho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mikkjal Martin Knudsen in the 9th minute of play. When the match clock showed 11 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Mikkjal Martin Knudsen sped through Birkdale City's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Atli Castilho. Gert Dam hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Bárður Tórgarð fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Atli Castilho having to interfere. If John Tórgarð had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Depil's Mikkjal Martin Knudsen in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Birkdale City's goalie prevented a goal. Tonny á Borg kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Ásbjørn Djurhuus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gert Jónsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Suni Samuelsen hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. The supporters of Depil booed when Birkdale City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jann Højsted didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Mikkjal Martin Knudsen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Depil's supporters rose to their feet, but Mikkjal Martin Knudsen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Atli Castilho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Depil's Mikkjal Martin Knudsen in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Birkdale City's goalie prevented a goal. Ásbjørn Djurhuus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leif Thorleifsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 41 played minutes Birkdale City got a freekick which was hit by Jann Højsted. In the 45thth minute of the game Mikkjal Martin Knudsen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Birkdale City's Atli Castilho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 46 minutes into the game, Depil's Atli Martin Knudsen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Atli Castilho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mikkjal Martin Knudsen to strike the kick off in the second half. Bárður Tórgarð succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-4 in the 53rd playminute. Birkdale City's Atli Castilho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Birkdale City from getting a goal against them. Mikkjal Martin Knudsen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mikkjal Martin Knudsen got free with Atli Castilho in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 60 minutes, Bárður Tórgarð managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Depil's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bárður Tórgarð was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Atli Castilho came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by Depil's Bárður Tórgarð. But to his dismay, Bárður Tórgarð quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. In the 68th match minute, Depil was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by John Tórgarð to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hjalgrím Niclasen in the 69th minute of play forced Depil's goalkeeper Ásbjørn Djurhuus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mikkjal Martin Knudsen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Birkdale City's zone, Atli Martin Knudsen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Atli Castilho came out of the goal and Atli Martin Knudsen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bárður Tórgarð took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Atli Castilho. Atli Castilho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. In the 77th minute, Mikkjal Martin Knudsen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bárður Tórgarð could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Atli Castilho made a huge save. Ásbjørn Djurhuus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gert Jónsson in the 81st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mikkjal Martin Knudsen in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Atli Castilho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Birkdale City's Leif Thorleifsson got a free kick in the 88th minute. Bárður Tórgarð took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Atli Castilho. Atli Castilho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-7. After 93 played minutes Depil got a freekick which was hit by Suni Samuelsen. Jákup Mikkelsen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Atli Martin Knudsen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Atli Castilho having to interfere. When the match was over Depil could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Birkdale City throughout the match.
