After a rather tough play, Goleiros FC's Mikkjal Jónsson got a free kick in the 5th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Egil Thorsteinsson in the 7th minute of play forced Goleiros FC's goalkeeper Regin Johannesen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Goleiros FC's zone, Egil Thorsteinsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Regin Johannesen came out of the goal and Egil Thorsteinsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 12 minutes, Amed Nolsøe mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atacantes and the Goleiros FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Amed Nolsøe kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Egil Thorsteinsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Regin Johannesen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 21st minute, Diaba Thomassen reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Regin Johannesen. The goal made the score 1-0. If Egil Thorsteinsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Egil Thorsteinsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Regin Johannesen was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. In the 30th minute of the match Ingi Thomassen sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Regin Johannesen skillfully saved the ball. Amed Nolsøe was shown his second yellow card after 31 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. 34 minutes into the match, Atacantes's goal looked a bit too open when Sjúrdur Løkin came free, but Brian Kwieciński reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Brian Kwieciński showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gert Egholm, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. When Marni Anghel came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Atacantes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marni Anghel couldn't finish the play. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 43rd minute, but Regin Johannesen got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Goleiros FC hanging dry this time. Brian Kwieciński showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gert Egholm in the 45th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Egil Thorsteinsson during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 47th minute, Egil Thorsteinsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Goleiros FC's Jóhann Falkenberg tried to score from far away in the 48th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Diaba Thomassen was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th minute, Marni Anghel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Atacantes fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marni Anghel during the 63rd minute. Atacantes's Brian Kwieciński played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anderson Davy Sylla in the 90th minute of play. If Diaba Thomassen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
