The supporters of Strendur ÍF booed when Vestmanna FS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronnie Kruse was a little too slow when Brian Færø got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 12th minute. The score was now 2-0. Herbert Kruse received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Ronnie Kruse tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ronnie Kruse showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Herbert Kruse in the 22nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Jann Mikkelsen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Strendur ÍF's supporters rose to their feet, but Jann Mikkelsen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Meinhardt Pauli Jacobsen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jann Mikkelsen charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jann Mikkelsen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 27th minute, Jann Mikkelsen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 30 minutes into the match, Andrias Jacobsen notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Vestmanna FS's Meinhardt Pauli Jacobsen. Meinhardt Pauli Jacobsen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Strendur ÍF's Andrias Jacobsen got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Brian Færø managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vestmanna FS's supporters rose to their feet, but Brian Færø was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ronnie Kruse breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Vestmanna FS's goalkeeper Meinhardt Pauli Jacobsen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Andrias Jacobsen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Brian Højsted in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ronnie Kruse saved Strendur ÍF from getting behind. 57 minutes in the game, Andrias Jacobsen fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Meinhardt Pauli Jacobsen having to interfere. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vestmanna FS's goalkeeper Meinhardt Pauli Jacobsen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Strendur ÍF booed when Vestmanna FS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brian Færø didn't get a good kick on the ball. Egil í Lon Jacobsen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Meinhardt Pauli Jacobsen made a huge save. Brian Færø recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Andrias Jacobsen struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Meinhardt Pauli Jacobsen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Strendur ÍF. In the 84th minute, Óli Thomassen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Vestmanna FS booed when Strendur ÍF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andrias Jacobsen didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Vestmanna FS had won after a very even match.
