Tommy Hansen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marni Frederiksberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Jónhard Mikkelsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, John Martin Joensen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sørvágsfjørður D's supporters rose to their feet, but John Martin Joensen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rógvi Jacobsen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Heini Thomsen who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 26thth minute tested the skills of Rógvi Jacobsen when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Tommy Hansen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 47 minutes into the match, Jens Olsen notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Sørvágsfjørður D's Tommy Hansen. Tommy Hansen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Per Rói Jacobsen was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Jens Christian í Lon Jacobsen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Zagueiros FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sørvágsfjørður D the free kick. The Sørvágsfjørður D fans' excitement grew in the 55th match minute when Sørvágsfjørður D's Heini Thomsen looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Heini Thomsen might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rógvi Jacobsen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Heini Thomsen ran back to his position shaking his head. 82 minutes into the match, Zagueiros FC's goal looked a bit too open when John Egholm came free, but Rógvi Jacobsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rógvi Jacobsen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jónhard Mikkelsen in the 84th minute of play. In the 86th minute, John Egholm hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kristjan Løkin charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kristjan Løkin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Zagueiros FC booed when Sørvágsfjørður D was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kristjan Løkin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marni Frederiksberg, 93 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Heini Thomsen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rógvi Jacobsen having to interfere. Zagueiros FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
