The coaching staff of Atacantes protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Ingi Thomassen had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee gave Sørvágsfjørður D a penalty, 10 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Heini Thomsen, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Atacantes's Øssur Thomassen. 0-2. Sorin Niclasen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arnbjørn Olsen got free with Tommy Hansen in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 48th play minutes Heini Thomsen shot 1-3, a short shot which went by Øssur Thomassen and just under the crossbar into goal. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When John Martin Joensen came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Sørvágsfjørður D fans jumped to their feet. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Torkil Nolsøe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sørvágsfjørður D's supporters rose to their feet, but Torkil Nolsøe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Øssur Thomassen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Heini Thomsen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Øssur Thomassen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Atacantes's Marni Anghel got a free kick in the 88th minute. In the 92nd minute, Heini Thomsen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sørvágsfjørður D's Tommy Hansen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sorin Niclasen in the 96th minute of play. Heini Thomsen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Øssur Thomassen having to interfere.
